ESSAY TYPE QUESTIONS:

  1. Define Statistics and Importance and Scope of Statistics in different fields?
  2. State the various methods of collecting Primary data and discuss their merits and demerits?
  3. State the various methods of collecting Secondary data and discuss their merits and demerits?
  4. Define data and Explain Primary and Secondary data with their collection of methods?
  5. Derive the Median formula with the help of the graph?

  5. Define principles of least squares. Explain the procedure for fitting of straight line to the given data.  Define correlation. State and prove properties of correlation coefficient.
  6. Derive the Spearman Rank correlation coefficient.
  7. What is multiple and partial correlation coefficient and its properties.
  8. Some simple problems on Correlation coefficient.

UNIT-IV

  1. Define Regression and its properties.
  2. What is Regression lines of bi-variate data.

ESSAY TYPE QUESTIONS:

  1. Distinguish between correlation and regression coefficients. Give its properties.
  2. Define Regression and Obtain angle between X on Y and Y on X lines of regression?
  3. Some simple problems on Regressions.

UNIT-V

SHORT TYPE QUESTIONS:

  1. Define attributes, dichotomy, manifold classification.
  2. Define class and Class frequencies.
  3. Define Consistency of data.
  4. Derive 2X2 Consistency table.  Give Yule’s coefficient of association and its limits.
  5. Give Yule’s coefficient of colligation and its limits.
  6. Define Mean Square Consistency.
  7. Define coefficient of Mean Square Consistency.
  8. What is independence of attributes and criterion of independence of attributes?


ESSAY TYPE QUESTIONS:

  1. Define Consistency and write the conditions of the consistency.
  2. Explain the concept of independence and association of two attributes give the measures of association of attributes. Show that for ‘n’ attributes A1, A2, A3, A4, ………An (A1, A2, A3,….An)≥(A1)+(A2)+…………+(An)-(n-1)N
  3. Show that Q=2Y/(1+Y2)
